To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing in support of eTime's application to the ECSA Fund.
Having met with eTime's CEO, Fay Le Cren, and having visited the eTime site I believe the learning environment they have created is ideal. More importantly their philosophies towards teaching and learning are designed to foster self motivation, confidence and entrepreneurial creativity.
Etime's other strengths include their natural connections to business and enterprise and their innovative teaching style. Their connections to business and enterprise through the Cookie Munchers Charitable Trust provides young people access to a wide range of opportunities. The use of Video presentations, collaborative teams and positive engagement to teach young people about enterprise is fresh and innovative.
The Etime enterprise initiative described complements Canterbury Development Corporation's (CDC) Outside the Square project ( supported by ECSA ), and the range of enterprise initiates currently occurring in Christchurch and Canterbury, extremely well. If Successful in their application, CSD would fully support ensuring our initiatives were well co-ordinated to dovetail in together for ease of access for our young entrepreneurs.
It would be exciting to see this initiative supported by NZTE as it both complements and would add value to the youth enterprise culture in our region.
